Thank you for registering for our Local 509 Lobby Day! Here are some key details for you to help plan your day at the State House tomorrow. See you there!

Wednesday, April 10, 2019
10:00 AM-2:00 PM
Massachusetts State House (24 Beacon St, Boston) – Hall of Flags (2nd Floor)
Take any elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the Hall of Flags

We’ll spend the day talking to our legislators about bills that matter to Local 509 members. Click here to see a basic guide to visiting your legislators. We will have all the materials you need for your lobby visit when you arrive!

Make sure you wear your purple Local 509 gear if you have it! Please keep in mind you will have to pass through security screening to enter the State House. We recommend you leave large bags/backpacks at home if possible. A box lunch will be provided.

Buses will leave from the following locations to bring members to and from Boston. There is plenty of space on the New Bedford and Worcester buses-bring along a coworker!

  • CHL Members: Bus leaves Leominster at 7:15am @ 100 Erdman Way. Bus stops in Worcester, departing at 8:00am from 72 Jacques Avenue. Contact: Jim Gander, 617-584-4440
  • New Bedford: Meet at 7:45am at the Free Park and Ride lot at Exit 4 off Highway 140 to get on the bus to Boston. Contact: Cheri Antelo, 774-319-9401
  • Worcester: Meet at 7:45am at the Carpenters Union (29 Endicott St, Worcester) to get on the bus to Boston. (Parking is free). Contact: Tara Arthur, 508-353-9950

If you drive to the State House, we recommend parking in the Boston Common Garage, which is the closest and most affordable option. Parking will be reimbursed up to $28 and ride share or public transportation up to $25.
