Governor Healey’s drastic proposal of budget cuts will have a devastating impact on our most vulnerable residents and jeopardize the livelihoods of human service workers across the Commonwealth.
When the budget was announced, we immediately contacted impacted members, met with other union and labor partners, and began outreach to legislators. Over the last week, hundreds of members have emailed legislators asking them to oppose these cuts.
This is not a done deal. We are not letting the Governor’s proposal go unchallenged. We are committed to ongoing actions that centers member and community voices throughout this fight.

Now that the Governor, House, and Senate have all proposed their FY2026 budgets, the legislature has begun a conference committee to reconcile the state budget.
We need to continue to show our strength and urge the committee to protect and preserve the vital social services that our members provide. Send a message to your state legislators now and tell them to protect our budget priorities!
