Today, March 9th, marked our inaugural open bargaining session!
From the start, we’ve fought to secure an evening bargaining session in order to make negotiations more accessible to our members – and we showed up strong today.
Unfortunately, the state had no responses to any of the proposals we’ve submitted since January, including the bilingual differential, contract duration, and wage proposals. While we are disappointed that today’s session was brief, over 80 of us walked out in silence and stood together to send a strong message: we won’t accept disrespect.
We know that our time, energy, and work are worth more. That’s why we’re calling on Governor Healey to intervene in negotiations to help secure fair wage increases for workers and allow our agencies to function at their best.
It’s time to make your voice heard—take action and sign our petition now!
In the meantime, mark your calendar for upcoming bargaining sessions—locations are TBD based on RSVPs, so sign up now.
