With looming federal cuts from the Trump administration and a rising cost of living crisis, the services provided by Department of Transitional Assistance workers are as important as ever. Communities across Massachusetts deserve access to resources to support them in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
The budget signed by Governor Healey on Friday left DTA services $42 million short. Without a supplemental budget to fully fund the department, the state could implement DTA layoffs and cuts in services that our communities cannot afford.
