Recently, the House filed a supplemental budget for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) that includes the authorization for our contract as well as other public sector contracts. That bill has now moved to the Senate’s Committee on Ways and Means. We’re working with our partners in the Senate to move this to a floor vote as soon as possible, and we will let you know when there is an update or when it’s time to take action.
Some highlights from our contract include:
- 11% raise over three years (along with our 2023 contract victory, this brings us to a total of a 19% raise over the next four years)
- Improved promotional language – a promotional step placement process that more accurately reflects relevant work experience
- Increases in shift differentials and meal reimbursements
- Improved bereavement language
