On June 25th, the Supreme Court announced the egregious ruling to upend the lives of 350,000 Haitian and 6,000 Syrian families living in the United States with Temporary Protected Status (TPS). This decision will result in the end of work permits and deportation protections for families across the country.
We are outraged. SEIU Local 509 is working in partnership with our union siblings and community leaders in calling on the federal administration to immediately reverse course and restore TPS protections in order to keep families safe and together.
We know this may impact our members and your loved ones, and we want you to know that we stand in solidarity with you.
