Join your coworkers for Lobby Day at the State House!
Wednesday, April 8
10 AM to 2 PM
SEIU 32BJ Union Hall
26 West Street, 2nd floor, Boston, MA 02111
RSVP deadline: March 30
This is an opportunity for you to talk to your legislators in person and fiercely advocate for funding and policy change that shapes your day-to-day conditions and protects workers like you in Massachusetts.
Lobby Day is all about the power of storytelling and sharing real experiences. Legislators will see who Local 509 members are, why the work you do matters, and why they need to stand with us on the issues that matter most.
We’re looking to you to help fight for legislation that protects our members and funding for the services you provide every day.
Whether it’s your first time lobbying or your legislator already knows your name, your participation matters. Will you join your coworkers in making your voice heard?
Logistics
If there is enough interest, we may be able to provide a bus or van from certain cities. There is space on the RSVP form to indicate if you would like to request transportation.
We are happy to reimburse for parking (or public transit) and mileage for all members who join us on Lobby Day. We kindly ask you to consider the environment and carpool or use public transit whenever possible. SEIU 509 will reimburse for parking or public transit up to $35 for the day. All mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate. For questions regarding reimbursements, please contact financedept@seiu509.org
There will not be lost time offered this year.
Please contact Kim Kargman at kkargman@seiu509.org if you have any other questions.
